Apple annonce la fin du Mac Pro

Apple Quietly Discontinues the Mac Pro

Apple has officially confirmed to the tech news site 9To5Mac that it will no longer be selling the Mac Pro. The desktop tower has been removed from Apple’s website, and this is not just a temporary stock issue. According to 9To5Mac, Apple also stated, “the company does not plan to offer future Mac Pro models”. This marks the definite end of the line for the product.

The Inevitable End of the Mac Pro

The writing was on the wall that the Mac Pro’s days were numbered. Last month, Apple announced that Mac mini production would shift to the United States. This move appears to be a strategic decision to maintain Mac production on American soil, which likely helped cushion the blow of ending the Mac Pro’s production—a development that could have been seen as a setback for Donald Trump. The Mac Studio, currently equipped with the M2 generation chip, is set to succeed the Mac Pro. Apple is expected to unveil the M5 generation of the Mac Studio by this coming summer.
