Apple Releases Updates for Older Devices
Last night, Apple rolled out updates for its older devices, introducing iOS 16.7.15 and iOS 15.7.15, along with corresponding updates for iPadOS. According to the release notes for iOS 16.7.15 and iOS 15.7.15, these updates include a fix for the Coruna vulnerability. This security flaw, which was disclosed by Google last week, could potentially allow hackers to bypass iOS security measures and install spyware.
The Coruna vulnerability had already been addressed in the release of iOS 17.2 on December 11, 2023. Therefore, the latest updates are specifically aimed at older iPhone and iPad models that are not compatible with this newer version of iOS or iPadOS.
