Enhancements to Final Cut Pro
In its latest update, Final Cut Pro introduces a subtitle generation feature that automatically transcribes audio and accurately places subtitles along the timeline. This comes with several customization options. Additionally, a new cut detection feature can analyze a video and automatically segment it into separate clips on the timeline.
A new feature named Auto Mask has been introduced to isolate and refine specific elements within a video sequence. “The built-in AI identifies subjects such as skin, hair, sky, foliage, and clothing, without the need for manual tracking. Simply hover over a shot to see a real-time preview of detected elements, or make a selection from the inspector’s list; this makes it easy to link the mask to a color correction or an effect for precise adjustments,” explains the feature description. This functionality complements the existing Magnetic Mask.
Another interesting development is the Match Color feature, which allows users to select a reference image for Final Cut Pro to analyze shots and perfectly harmonize them, achieving more accurate and natural color matching. Apple also highlights the Advanced Trimming function, which enables precise adjustment of entry and exit frames individually.
Updates for Motion and Compressor
Motion now supports native handling to maintain the clarity of vector graphics regardless of resolution, and introduces a “Distribute Layers” function for much faster setup of complex animations. Compressor incorporates an immersive metadata viewer, supports the projected content profile Apple 180 degrees for Apple Vision Pro, and adds an anaglyph view for stereoscopic video previews.
Final Cut Camera is also updated, now supporting Clean HDMI Out, extended support for ProRes (including ProRes LT), new, more flexible codec options, and the ability to disable digital zoom to ensure each captured image is in full optical resolution.
Pixelmator Pro Integration
Pixelmator Pro’s update enhances its integration with other Apple Creator Studio applications. “Users of Final Cut Pro can now send a selected image directly to Pixelmator Pro, create custom thumbnails or visuals for social media, and then easily reintegrate their content into the timeline without interrupting their workflow,” the update notes. Additionally, images embedded in Keynote, Pages, or Numbers documents can be opened, edited, and saved directly back into the original document.
In Pixelmator Pro, Keynote, Pages, and Numbers, the new versions also include a tool for creating vector shapes. Keynote adds new transitions and animations. Pages on iPhone and iPad introduces automatic hyphenation and the display of invisible characters for more precise editing. Numbers now allows users to hide individual sheets or color-code them. With iOS 27 and macOS 27, Freeform will enable shape generation and opening of images in Pixelmator Pro, while also adding a dark mode, folders to organize boards, and drawing support on Mac.
Logic Pro Updates
Apple announces that Chord ID has been rebuilt for more accurate harmonic analysis, even with distorted guitars or slightly out-of-tune pianos. A new Producer project reveals the complete Logic Pro session behind “Shoulda Never,” produced by Khris Riddick-Tynes.

The new Granular Alchemy Sound Pack offers a collection of loops and presets specifically designed for this new mode. The Beat Breaker feature is expanded with new Filter and Pan modes and intuitive randomization controls.
