Will Apple Omit the Black Color Option for the iPhone 18 Pro Again?
Despite widespread speculation about the return of the black color variant, Instant Digital now reports that Apple may decide against it. Instead, Apple is likely to opt for a darker shade of gray. This color choice might be more resistant to visible scratches and dents, which is believed to be the reason why Apple didn’t introduce a black variant last year.
The lineup would therefore include only three colors: a gray set to take over from the current silver, a light blue to succeed the deep blue, and a cherry purple to replace the cosmic orange.
First Glimpse of the iPhone 18 Pro?
This week, it appears we may have seen the first image of the iPhone 18 Pro. The image comes from a video showing a drop test, which was leaked following a cyberattack on Tata Electronics, an Apple subcontractor. The color shown in the video indeed appears darker than the current silver.

Further observations reveal that the glass back has a shade that blends more seamlessly with the chassis, supporting earlier reports from Instant Digital. Additionally, the Apple logo now features significantly more pronounced reflections.
