Each year, The Product Crew releases salary grids for roles in tech, product, design, and data fields. For the 2026 edition, the recruitment firm based its findings on feedback from 11,689 participants. The study aims to provide tech professionals with the most reliable salary benchmarks and to furnish companies with data to attract and retain talent, the company explains in its introduction. This year, The Product Crew has developed an interactive map, enabling users to gauge where they stand in the market.

A Tool for Comparing Salaries by Job Title

The interactive tool allows users to delve deeply into the study’s data. Available online, it functions as a simulator: you can filter by job title, experience level, sector (tech, product, data, design, HR) and location to get an estimation of the salaries reported.

The results show ranges (low, median, high) and the differences from the national median. The interface also enables comparisons of salaries between cities, or identification of the most advantageous regions for a particular job, including options for fully remote positions or those outside major metropolitan areas.

“Most tech profiles leave between €5k and €15k on the table when negotiating,” claims The Product Crew, who considers their comparator as a benchmarking tool.

Product: Salaries in 2026

In the product sector, TPC examined 13 professions based on nearly 3000 respondents. Among the highest-paid roles is the Head of Product, with a median annual gross salary exceeding €82k for firms with more than 50 employees. Generally, the sector remains lucrative: a beginning product owner (0 to 2 years of experience) can expect a salary exceeding €40k annually, even outside Paris.

The study also reveals that only 5% of respondents do not benefit from teleworking, and 11% are fully remote.

Tech: Salaries in 2026

In the tech sector, the field remains predominantly male: 86% of respondents are men, indicating limited feminization of the sector.

Regarding salaries, a full-stack developer starts at around €42k in Paris (€36k in the regions) and can go up to €63k after 10 years, compared to €57.5k outside Île-de-France. More experienced profiles push salary levels higher: a lead developer surpasses €70k in Paris with 6-9 years of experience.

The most strategic positions gather the highest salaries. A CTO/CPO has a median salary of €115k in mid-sized companies, up to €160k in large firms. The highest-paid profiles can exceed €200k.

Design: Salaries in 2026

In the design sector, the field appears significantly more feminized, with 56% of female respondents. However, it’s also a field where salary levels don’t skyrocket as much as in tech.

A product designer starts around €42k in Paris (€36k in the regions) on average and reaches €57k after 10 years, compared to €53.5k outside Île-de-France. UI/UX designers have similar salary levels, with a median of €57.4k in Paris at the end of their career.

Leadership positions remain below tech standards: a Head of Design has a median salary between €69k and €88k depending on the company size, with a top 10% exceeding €140k in the largest firms.

Data: Salaries in 2026

In the data sector, differences mainly occur between professions. A data analyst starts at €45k in Paris (€38k in the regions) and reaches €60k after 10 years. Data engineers are a notch above, with a median of €68k in Paris from 6-9 years, compared to €48.5k in the regions at the same level.

Not surprisingly, the highest salaries are concentrated in leadership roles: a Chief Data Officer reaches a median of €138k in large companies, with top 10% profiles earning over €230k.

The market prioritizes data engineering skills (46%), followed by applied AI (35%) and data analysis (28%).

Human Resources in Tech: Salaries in 2026

The Product Crew also focuses on recruitment professions, often less documented in such studies. Salary levels are more compressed than in technical roles, in a field that is also predominantly female (69% women versus 31% men).

A Talent Acquisition Specialist has a median salary around €44k, with a top 10% earning €59k. More experienced profiles see significant progression: a senior recruiter reaches a median of €54k, and up to €74k for the highest earners.

In HR management, salary levels increase. A HR Director / Chief People Officer has a median salary of €100k in companies with 50 to 200 employees, with top 10% profiles exceeding €180k in large structures.
