Apple Unveils iOS 26.4 Beta with Innovative Playlist Feature
Last week, Apple introduced the first beta version of iOS 26.4, featuring an innovative tool named Playlist Playground. This new feature allows users to generate playlists based on verbal prompts. Users simply describe the type of music they wish to hear, and Apple Intelligence takes over, curating a tailored selection. Early feedback suggests that this function is robust, and impressively, Apple has not restricted it to only those devices that are hardware compatible with Apple Intelligence. It is also available on older iPhone models and on the beta version of Apple Music 5.2 for Android, as reported by 9To5Google, which provided detailed screenshots.
Availability of Playlist Playground
Initially, it was believed that the Playlist Playground feature might be restricted within the European Union. However, it turns out that, for now, the feature is only activated in the United States. There appears to be no regulatory restrictions potentially linked to the European DMA, indicating promising prospects for future availability across Europe.
