Update as of July 15, 2025: During our initial evaluation, we were unable to assess the battery life of the product. However, a few months later, we have empirical data: the included CR2032 battery (of no known brand) lasted exactly 106 days before the tracker disappeared from the Find My app, which is about 3.5 months. This duration is relatively short, even for entry-level trackers.

In our tests, which we will elaborate on in a forthcoming article, we used the same CR2032 battery model (an Amazon Basics version costing about €0.50) across all trackers, following a straightforward protocol. We placed the trackers in a room with nearby Apple devices and tested them weekly to ensure they were detected properly and that they rang as expected. We cannot compare this tracker’s performance directly with other models we tested, as they used different batteries, but typically, entry-level trackers lasted about six months on average in our tests. The shorter battery life observed here could be due to different electronics within the tracker or simply a lower quality CR2032 battery, which wouldn’t be surprising given the tracker’s low price.

Beyond its limited battery life, the tracker performed well and showed no other issues …
