Streaming services are embracing partnerships. TelevisaUnivision and Disney have entered into a multiregional distribution partnership, giving Spanish-speaking consumers more choices and greater accessibility.
Starting in early June, Disney+ and ViX will be merged into a single offering in Mexico, allowing ViX users to access Disney+ as part of their subscription.
Under the new agreement, TelevisaUnivision’s U.S. networks, including Univision, UniMás, TUDN, and Galavisión, will be integrated into Hulu+ Live TV’s main programming lineup starting June 3.
This integration means Televisa Univision’s content will be broadcast during major events like the FIFA Club World Cup and the Concacaf Gold Cup.
It will also provide subscribers access to Spanish-language content through TelevisaUnivision’s channels, including N+FORO, tlNovelas, Bandamax, De Película, De Película Clásico, Telehit, and Telehit Música.
Televisa Univision emphasized that the partnership with Disney shows that its portfolio is a crucial pillar for any pay-TV distributor, stated Rafael Urbina, President of Streaming and Digital at TelevisaUnivision, in a press release.
