Ubisoft is all set to launch Rabbids Big Bang for the iPhone and iPad on October 17th. It is a physics-based game where you get to control little mammals called Rabbids.
Rabbids belong to the race of bunnies that have evolved over a hundred years. The Earth is not enough for them so they are taking a journey to space to explore and make it their playground.
You get to pilot the Rabbids using jetpack boots and gravitational pull of the planets. The goal is to avoid accidents by flying around various obstacles.
The game will include 150 different missions including “crash-landing landing on planets, bouncing off of space cows and reaching specific speeds.” Ubisoft in a press release revealed that Rabbids Big Bang will include lots of customisation options such as upgrading jetpacks, dressing up Rabbids and much more.
Rabbids Big Bang for iPhone and iPad will be priced at $0.99. Ubisoft shared a few screenshots of the game with us. The 3D game environment reveals that you will collect bunny coins and you will have limited fuel to complete your journey around the planets.
Physics-based games have proved to be a popular genre on the App Store. Angry Birds has been one of the most successful series in this genre. In Angry Birds Space we saw the birds fighting the pigs in space.
We will have to wait for the launch of Rabbids on iPhone to see how exciting will the gameplay be and if it manages to get us addicted.

No Red T-Shirts sees you in the role of Robo, a police robot that has gone slightly off the rails and in this role you are charged with finding as many criminals as you can by simply tapping on them as they go about their business.
The bright, cartoon graphics that create the various locations are colorful, dramatic and will certainly appeal to a younger audience as will the controls which require a simple hunt and peck technique to spin the environments around as you tap on the currently active criminal.
The current offender type that you have to hunt for are highlighted as you progress through the game by flashing warning that appears across the screen and each time this happens you will need to change who you are hunting for. Find enough of them and you will be given the opportunity to send all the remaining characters home to bed.
Your success on each level will earn you the currency that will enable you to purchase upgrades, as with most games these days you can also purchase additional currency via in-app purchase, but it’s not heavily pushed and only required if you want to push forward your progress at an aggressive pace.
Each location has its own set of objectives to be completed and you can also call on the help of 3 power-ups and the additional help of Chronos and Thor to entice the criminals out of hiding and into your handcuffs.
The gameplay is pretty repetitive and so will probably not appeal to the most hardened of gamers but for a casual gamer there is some limited appeal here and if you do fancy turning your hand to over-zealous crime fighting then No Red T-Shirts could be just the game for you especially if you like the idea of big-brother looking over your shoulder!
‘No Red T-Shirts’ is a universal app that is available in the App Store for the discounted price of 99 cents while the summer lasts!

eBoo – space adventures HD Review: eBoo is a cute, kid-style game where you pilot a flying saucer through courses in the hopes of collecting stars, flipping switches and levers, avoiding obstacles and eventually fighting battles and saving the world.
You are a green, square-ish creature that is recruited into the army to pilot a flying saucer. Your drill instructor helps you out, but also keeps you in your place like all good drill instructors do. You are given many tasks and courses to master, all of which are progressively harder. Eventually you go on battle missions that put those skills to the test.
The controls are easy enough, on the right there’s a “button” to make your craft rise and on the left there are arrows to send it left or right. It can be tricky to control though, it takes more than a steady hand. And additional buttons are added along the way for additional controls, such as magnets to lift things, which seem to require a third hand. A fair amount of motor skill is required for that, which may be beyond young children.
I have to admit that I’m torn about this game. It seems simple enough. It’s easily understandable and the controls are obvious, even for children. But actually controlling your craft and navigating the course are more difficult than the cutesy feel to the game would lead you to believe. It seems aimed at kids, but may prove too difficult for them.
For adults, though, the game will prove to be a light-hearted, yet difficult, challenge. The cartoon style graphics, music, and sound effects are all fun. But the skill and strategy to the game will probably have you cussing not smiling. It’s got plenty there to keep you going. It’s also integrated with GameCenter and Facebook if you’re looking to challenge others.
This is a game that tempts you with its easy-going style, but don’t let it fool you – it’s harder than it looks.

Back in the day when games were loaded via cassette tape and played with joystick instead of a controller there was a major battle taking place in the gaming world and that was between two rival fighting games. Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat fought a battle both on and off screen which is still going on today. The latest punch in the battle comes from the Mortal Kombat side with the release of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 for iPhone.
Mortal Kombat is a 2D fighting game that focuses on special moves and combo’s that ultimately lead you hopefully performing a fatal ending move that Mortal Kombat has made it’s own. It’s classic stuff and for any fan of Mortal Kombat they are in for a treat.
The classic button bashing controls are there, from the traditional red knobbed joystick in the left corner of the screen to the 5 or 6 button layout on the right the controls are surprisingly responsive and given time provide the perfect opportunity to unleash those deadly combo’s that MK is famous for. They are also fully customisable, however I recommend finding one and sticking with as remembering those combo’s are vital to succeeding in UMK 3.
If you can’t remember the basic combo’s you can review them via the ‘i’ button in the top left corner of the screen but like other version of Mortal Kombat you will need to work on the combo’s that launch the special moves.
There are four game modes in UMK3; Arcade, Local Multiplayer, Survival and Shao Karnage which all offer the same carnage in slightly different ways.
Arcade sets you an a winner takes all battle against the 13 fierce enemies that are as eager to rip your head off as you are to rip theirs. It’s certainly not for the feint hearted but the blood and gore certainly don’t have the same shocking impact that they did when this game was originally released on the old consoles. There are 4 difficulty levels which really crank the difficulty level up.
Survival mode challenges you battle through as many kombatants as you can with a single amount of energy while Shao Karnage challanges you to do as much damage against the ultimate Mortal Kombat killing machine as you can in 90 seconds.
For me though the fun really begins with the Local Multiplayer mode which allowed me to pit my skills not against the computer controlled enemies but against my friends and lash out some real frustrations on the iPhone’s screen. This really took me back to the good old days of playing MK when we would fight each other into the early hours. The special codes that enable special ‘features’ are also fun to use although it would be nice to be able to access them in single player mode too.
Nothing really has changed since those time, if you love Mortal Kombat than you will love this rendition of the game which you can carry around in your pocket, if you aren’t a fan of button bashing fighting games you should probably move along.
At $6.99 it’s going to leave a bit of a dent in your wallet compared to other titles in the App Store and so I’d only recommend this game if you are a fan of the genre and specifically this series.
