When I first fired up APPZILLA I was a little overwhelmed! There are a full two and a half screens full of just about every mini-app and widget (both useful and fun) I could think of that I might want to have on my iPhone or iPod. That’s 50 individual apps all individually launch-able and managed from a simple springboard interface! Just to give you a very small taste of what’s in APPZILLA there are some obvious apps like a clock, currency converter, flashlight, tip calculator and a unit convertor. There are also some more esoteric things like a voodoo doll simulator, strobe light, and a massager! So now you know what the name, “50 in 1 : APPZILLA” is all about!

As the amount of apps we end up keeping on our devices grows it seems sensible to try and consolidate them into one space. This is one of the initial appeals of APPZILLA, once you know what it is all about. You can click one place on your iPod or iPhone’s main screen and be presented with a nicely presented alternative springboard with pleasing and descriptive icons for a myriad of apps you might use in various situations in any one day.

50 in 1 appzillaReal world story: A week ago I dropped a bottle in our underground car park behind the wheel of my car. I wanted to clean the glass up so I or anyone else didn’t drive over it. It took me a few moments to find a blank white display in a notepad on my iPhone to give me some light to scan around the dark floor area behind my car and pick up glass shards. APPZILLA has a “Book Lamp” and a “Flashlight” on it’s front page. I’d have paid $0.99 for either of those there and then. And I’d still have had 49 other apps for free!

Another story : Two weeks ago I was putting a shelf up at home and couldn’t find my spirit level. My wife “put it away” somewhere. You know how it goes! APPZILLA has one of those too. In fact it has two of those. A “Level” app which is like a spirit level, and a “Clinometer” which is even more funky and works in two dimensions at once.

In the last two paragraphs I’ve touched on 4 apps in APPZILLA. We still have another 46 to go. You’re getting the idea, I hope.

In an App Store where there are literally thousands of little apps for a dollar each which do one or other thing, this is a great deal. What’s more the presentation is neat, clean and easy to follow, if a little light hearted. Once in each app the graphics and animations are smooth and detailed. This carries throughout each mini-app. I could understand if a developer decided to skimp on presentation here or there when cramming this many apps into one package. But these guys haven’t at all. Everything is pleasing to look at, if a tad quirky sometimes.

The simplest way to let you know what’s in APPZILLA is to list everything it contains. So I’ve included a list underneath the main review. The names are pretty much self explanatory in most cases. The ones that are not are entertaining to explore!

50 in 1 appzilla_3You could take some of these mini-apps individually and sell them for a dollar on the app store. Some developers already have done so. And in some cases have not done as nice a job for even that one app as Fossil Software have with each of the 50 in APPZILLA. You could even bunch 3 or 4 of these mini-apps together at this price, and it would be a bargain. You would’t even need to provide instructions for them as they are all pretty simple to use in most cases. But the guys who made APPZILLA included instructions anyway. They also included a way to organise the apps into the order you use them most frequently. A really nice touch. Especially considering just how many apps there are!

The interface, icons, layout and functionality of this app all “just work”, with the only exception being that the camera related apps were a bit quirky on the devices I tested them on. I did manage to get them to work though. But hey, 48 out of 50 pretty flawless mini-apps is not bad for a dollar – which is the price right now! I believe it is $1.99 at other times. Either way a bargain in my opinion.

For me personally, apart from the apps I’ve already mentioned, I can certainly see myself using the “Coin Flip” which flips a virtual coin on the screen, or the “Buzzer” which kind of makes your iPod into a game show button, or even the “Voodoo” app which allows you to stick pins in a rag doll. I’d use those at parties or with friends.

I could also see myself letting my nieces and nephews use the “Glow Paint” (a Day-Glo finger painting app) or “Sound Box” (a fun sound effects app). I might even use the last one to play tricks on some adult friends. Oh and of course the “Trip Wire” app which is a kind of sound activated alarm, with a sensitivity setting, could be a lot of fun too.

I am not letting my wife know about the “Cook Timer” as she already steals my iPod too often as it is But I might use it myself to get boiled eggs perfect!

50 in 1 appzilla_4More serious apps are included, like a “Metronome” for you musos, and a “Hot Topics” widget which gets popular news feeds from the internet. Plus a “Ruler” and a “Protractor”. Yep, they do what they say.

Did I mention that there’s an app to translate between pretty much every language I am aware of? It does need an internet connection though, as do most of the conversion apps that rely on real world data.

I could go on The “Morse Code” app I will be keeping handy for any war movies I watch so I can see if the subtitles match up to the signals.

I heartily recommend 50 in 1 : APPZILLA

I’ve tried many different apps but How2Draw Faces is a completely new genre for me and a quick search of the App Store would suggest that it’s relatively unique for the iPhone/iPod touch too. ZeroUm Digital aims to teach us how to draw faces, there are future apps planned that will teach the user how to draw other items too but for now it’s faces.

How to Draw Faces iPhone

There are 8 faces to draw, 3 men, 3 women a child and an old man, although the end results are completely different the steps that the app takes you through are broken down into simple steps that makes drawing a face a simple task for even the most artistically challenged people, and I should know because I am one of those people. The app is well put together and is easy to navigate and looks as professional as the results that it aims to help you create.

After selecting any of the 8 faces you are shown over the course of around 12 steps to draw the face, from a simple circle to start with and guide-lines for the features to the finer details of the eyes and lips and the final stages where the the pencil marks are over written with a pen allowing the initial pencil lines to be erased and the final results revealed.

How to Draw Faces iPhone_3

The unique thing about How2Draw Faces though is the ability to take a photo of your drawing and overlay the your drawing with the drawing in the application. This is easily completed and once the image has been loaded you can resize and rotate the picture to align it and see where you may need to make any adjustments.

For a non-artistic person this app made it surprisingly easy to produce some decent results so for any aspiring artist I would say that this and the future apps that are planned in this series will be a great starting point to get the basics done.

How2Draw – Faces does exactly what it sets out to do.

Give yourself a handy launch pad with SyPhone!

My initial reaction to this application was “omg someone’s tried to clone Windows Mobile home screen for iPhone” but thankfully syPhone feels a lot better to use despite crashing out a few times. At the top of the screen you have 4 tabs, Email which lets you write a quick email within the application and ToDo which is a simple to do list, both support landscape keyboard however the latter not so well with the text entry box not filling the available screen space.

The next tab is RSS which is a simple RSS reader however it only lets you read what is in the feed itself, there is no pass through to Safari for reading the whole article if the publisher only decides to put a snippet in the RSS feed. The last tab is Find which brings up a list of all the names and phone numbers in your address book and lets you filter it down by name or number by simply using the keyboard or switching to the keypad towards the bottom of the screen are a series of quick call buttons which you can assign to individual numbers from your address book, the button is then replaced by the picture in the contact page, there are 12 of these available with 4 being visible at any one time and you drag left to right to scroll through them.

syPhone iPhone Home Screen Windows Mobile

Other functions include, the current date, current time (mine for some reason is stuck at midday) with location and the current weather conditions with temperature. Tapping these items brings up further functionality, so tapping the date will bring up a month to view calendar and tapping either the time or weather will bring up 4 configurable locations thankfully the background pattern and colour is customisable by turning the device into landscape mode and tapping the a colour and then the pattern of your choice out of a selection of 10 colours and 4 patterns easily matching any iPhone case you care to adorn it with however accessing this function does clash a bit after say writing emails or notes in landscape mode.

As this application launches pretty fast it could be used quite a bit despite not being able to integrate fully into the iPhone software, as you could simply sleep the device while in the app and return to it quickly when going into your phone again.

My gripes with this application is that it feels cramped, partly due to the fact that most of the interactive elements are crammed into the top half of the screen with the static bottom half rarely leaving the screen. I also find this application a good bit unstable having it crashed on me at least 3 times during testing, and for some reason the clock in the middle reports my location but time stuck at midday. Initially I was at a loss as how you remove or edit items like quick call icons, weather and world clock entries all appeared permanent with no obvious way of removing them but actually if you swipe upwards over an item it will come up with a question “are you sure you want to remove this?”

syPhone 09 for iPhone is definitely worth checking out!

More and more companies are sending out documents in PDF format these days and with the iPhone also being used as a professional device having a good PDF document reader for it makes complete sense.

When you initially launch PDF Expert you are presented with a User Guide for the app in PDF format, (what else!) and to get an idea of what this app will do for you not only can you read this guide but just opening it starts you off being able to use some of it’s functions.

The documents will display in both landscape and portrait mode. Landscape will allow you to read the document easier while in portrait mode you can view full pages, in full color, and access the menu items. And it’s these menu’s options that really bring this app to life.

PDF Expert iPhone

First up is the search option which works excellently, simply enter the word you wish to find in the search box at the top of the page and after it has finished searching, which took only a matter of seconds for a 100 page document, you can the move though each of the found words using the arrow keys.

Copying the text of any document is easy too. After selecting the copy option a block is highlighted on the page which you can resize and move by simply touching the screen. Once you’ve highlighted the text you want you simply tap the Copy button and that text will be available for you to copy into any other application. Other options include Bookmarking, very important especially while ready large documents, Go to page which does just what it say’s and an email option that allows you to forward your PDF doc to someone via email.

The display of the documents is clear and easy to read and zooming utilizes the standard touch screen controls making it very intuitive to navigate around. If you receive password protected documents then PDF Expert can handle those too. It’s not limited to PDF documents either as it can also view MS Offics, HTML and txt files too.

The best feature of this PDF application for me though was the ability to drag and drop files to my iPhone and have them directly appear within the PDF Expert document. This means all the files I download to my PC can easily be transfered to my iPhone quickly and easily over the wifi network by simply entering setting up the iPhone in your Network Places. And don’t worry if you’ve not done that before because the applications steps you though it and you will be up and away within a matter of seconds.

PDF Expert is a one stop shop for all your PDF needs so if you use your iPhone/iPod Touch for work and/or handle a lot of PDF documents this app is a must for you. If you’re quick you can get hold of it for just $3.99.

A Black Box of Tricks

Black Box is a UNIQUE PRANKSTER APP that allows you TRICK, JOKE and EMBARRASS your friends (or yourself!) with FUN, CRAZY and SCARY sound effects.

Other prank apps require you to launch sounds with an iPhone in your hands, but Black Box can also be REMOTE CONTROLLED via TWITTER, something the target of your prank won’t expect!

“LOOK MA, NO IPHONE IN MY HANDS!”

Black Box uses TWITTER, the popular micro-blogging service, as a REMOTE CONTROL! With SIMPLE COMMANDS SENT AS A TWITTER UPDATE you can PLAY ANY SOUND from your Black Box (included are farts, audience noise and even CRAZY KITTENS!), UPLOAD YOUR OWN SOUNDS (WAV, MP3) or delete them, set up ALARMS, and MORE!

We all like a laugh and there’s no better way to get one than by the watching someone squirm with embarrassment or jump in fear and while pulling down someone’s pants or placing a spider on someone the introduction of Black Box lets you do both of these items and more from a simple $0.99 app.

In simple terms Black Box is a joke machine that you can control remotely via your Twitter account. Now to be honest, leaving my iPod Touch hidden near someone while I send it a tweet from the other side of the room makes me feel a little cold with fear, but none the less for the sake of seeing how this works I did exactly that.

Before playing the prank there are some initial things that you’ll need to configure. Firstly you’ll need to enter your Twitter account details; this account will be the one that Black Box monitors for instructions. Then you’ll need to decide on which sound you want your iPhone/iPod Touch to be activated when you instruct it too.

There are 20 inbuilt sounds to start with inc. multiple fart sounds, cats, boo’s and applause, however if none of these are appropriate you can load your own sounds. Unfortunately it’s not just a of browse to a specific sound file, to load a new sound you’ll need to send the URL and name of the sound to your Twitter account, and a direct message will not do, it will need to a public tweet which may prompt some questions from your followers as to what you are doing!

The other thing you’ll need to learn before setting your trap is the secret ‘gesture’. When ‘activating’ your phone for the prank Black Box will turn the screen black and to the untrained eye it will look like it’s switched off so in case someone finds it they can’t use it. In realty though the back light stays on and if anyone knows anything about the iPhone/iPod touch they’ll know that a simple click of the Home key will give them access to the phone, though if you need to re-open Black Box you’ll need to perform the secret gesture on the phones screen.

With all that said it took me no longer than five minutes to set everything up. Next I activated Black Box and placed my iPod touch in a suitable spot.

Black Box monitors your Twitter account every 10 minutes so it could take up to that amount of time between you sending the tweet and your phone making the sound. You can make it scan your Twitter account as frequently as every 5 seconds but with that you’ll use up your 100 Twitter account scans per hour extremely quickly.

The tweet that you send to yourself will need to contain the name of the sound in Black Box, so you could just Tweet the word “boo”, “fart”, ”applause” or you could build the trigger word into a sentence, in fact I used “I wonder who deserves a round of applause” with applause being the trigger word.

After sending the Tweet I didn’t have to wait any longer than 3 minutes before my phone spontaneously let out a round of applause causing my victim to jump with surprise before searching for where the sound came from.

In essence the app does exactly what it is supposed to do. However while using Twitter as a remote control is pretty ingenious having your twitter account spread with instructions didn’t really work for me.

Even before reviewing this game I’ve always been a fan of the throw large weights at a target type game, whether that be the indoor variety like Shuffle Board, the ice variety like Curling or the grass variety of Boule, so to get an iPhone app in the same vein was very exciting.

For those of you who don’t know the game of Horseshoes it is best played outside in the warm sunshine with a horseshoe in one hand and an ice cold drink in the other. The aim is to launch the aforementioned horseshoe through the air to a pole sticking out of the ground in the attempt to get as close as you can or even better, hook the horseshoe around the pole itself.

So with all that said how does the iPhone version match up to the real thing? With a cold drink on hand and sunshine streaming through my window I fired up the app and set about my review.

HorseShoes Pro comes with four styles of play, Ringers, Arcade Toss and Tournament and Play-n-Pass which allows you to challenge someone head-to-head on a single iPhone/iPod Touch.

The game offers the usual polish of other Skyworks games with effective graphics and sound rather than groundbreaking, but as with many games it’s all about the gameplay rather than how pretty it looks.

For those wanting an authentic game of Horseshoes then Ringers or Tournament Mode are the choice for you and the game plays very well. Throwing of the horseshoe is via the tried and tested method of sliding your finger up the screen and this works very effectively, in addition the accelerometer is used to affect the flight of the horseshoe and wrap it round the pole.

After a few games of horseshoe you’ll begin to see that using the accelerometer is required esp. if you are playing in tournament mode where each opponent will get progressively more and more accurate with their shots.

Each round can take a significant amount of time to play as you race your opponent to 40 points but if you enjoy the challenge and the subtleties of the game that won’t worry you. Being able to win the tournament on my first attempt though suggests that the difficulty level may be set a little low for some.

The final version of Horseshoe Pro is Arcade Toss which brings the games indoors and adds a bit of glamor to the game with the addition of bright lights, lazers and bonus points. Ultimately the game is still the same old throwing a bent lump of iron around a stick but the change is nice and the addition of two further targets mixes things up and will challenge you finger flicking skills.

At the end of every game you’ll get the opportunity to upload your score to the online servers to see how you compare globally but with the only a local multiplayer option Skyworks missed an opportunity here to make a good game a great game.

That being said I’m still coming back to the game for a quick go and that has to be a sign that they’ve got something right.

SimplyTweet developer @simplytweet has made more than 25 changes in the latest version 1.5

Some major updates are:

We reviewed SimplyTweet almost a month back. Since then this app has seen a number of updates and with version 1.4 we could not help but write a fresh post about it!

SimplyTweet has successfully transformed from being a simple twitter client to an app which does almost everything what a twitter app should do.

User Interface

SimplyTweet has a very clean and simple UI which displays tweets is large chat bubbles. It also supports mutiple accounts which you can access through ‘More’ option. When you click on an account it will ask you to confirm using that account. SimplyTweet displays tweets from your friends, mentions. messages (sent & received), Trends and Favorites. The ‘More’ option can be edited to rearrange your preferred view. The app has a refresh option on the top left and compose tweet option on the top right.

Reply, Post & User Profile

Once you choose to compose a tweet you have an option to attach pics and address multiple users in your tweet. While attaching a picture SimplyTweet also gives an option to Move & Scale the picture. It’s easy to switch accounts while composing the tweet by simply taping on your account name in the middle.

When you tap on a tweet you can either Reply, Retweet, Mark Favorite or View the conversation. SimplyTweet does not offer TweetShrink, TwitLonger or updating location services in this version. Clicking on a link brings up an inline web browser which gives you an option to either ‘Read Later’ or ‘Email Link’ but no ‘Repost Link’ option.

Taping on the twitter avatar of a user brings up their profile and there you can view their latest tweets, short bio, followers, friends and choose to follow or unfollow them. It also shows you if the user is following you or not. The more option on the top right in the user profile view gives you further options to Send Message, Send Public Reply, Add to Saved View and Edit Note.

Trends, Save Search, Saved Views & Notes

SimplyTweet also adds Trends and the ability to save search. Saved Views can be used to create different groups to track different sets of people and is a very helpful feature. Creating notes is a handy feature to quickly keep your ideas safe!

Verdict!

SimplyTweet has evolved from being a simple twitter client to a very useful twitter client. Saved View and Notes are the strongest features of this app.

An addictive connect 3 game that you need to check out.

Features:

Friki Tricks is an intense connect three puzzle game that keeps putting on the pressure as you level higher. The game is fairly simple (well maybe at the beginning), the point is to line up three or more like items horizontally or vertically, and get through 100 levels, don’t worry you can mess up three times before your game comes to an end.

When you start the game you have the choice to play Timed or Arcade mode. In Time mode you are given 30 seconds to make 120 blocks disappear, and after each set of blocks you remove, you are rewarded more time. If you want to take it easy at your own pace then Arcade mode is for you, no time limit, so you can take your time and not get stressed out. Once you complete a board you get to spin the bonus wheel to earn items that could greatly help you get a higher score or maybe get something that could hurt you. The game really starts to get hard when your eyes start to play tricks on you after staring at these funny looking blocks for so many levels and your number of possible moves start to get lower and lower.

The User Interface is very simple, swiping your finger across the block in the direction that you want it to go is all that is really required, and maybe a few taps here and there for the bonus round and to purchase the Red Bombs.

The added score board feature brings even more competition to the plate, there is always room for matches against your friends to get the highest score or to just beat your personal best; better yet try claiming a spot in the top 10 on the Online score board.

StessShaker has hundreds of quotes. These are arranged within four stress levels; Beautiful World, Dealing with Daily life, Coping with Stress, and Never give up Hope. With a shake of your iPhone, enter more intense levels of stress to reveal level appropriate thought provoking quotes to guide you to safety. With a swipe of a finger, you have control to command a new quote, or flip back to a quote that you may find needs further thought. With a tap of the screen, you are elevated to a calmer, more peaceful state providing a path to the inner peace within your grasp. We are certain you will enjoy this revolutionary and interactive experience.

This is a very simple application that presents a vast range of quotes based on four increasing categories/stress levels accessible with a shake of your device to go up and a tap to go down again. The quotes come from a range of sources including popular media figures and psychologists and do offer some relief in the form of thoughtful distractions but personal tastes do vary and of course, as stated quite clearly, this application is not a replacement for professional help.

Generally my only gripe with this application is that interacting with it isn’t quite as satisfying as it could be, when you swipe along the screen to move between quotes you have a few moments wait before the quote changes fading out then in with the new quote, where I feel it is better for quotes to move in the same manner as images in the OS photo viewer, also shaking the device to change stress levels could be made easier as presently you have to shake it quite hard to make it change.

Features
– Collect over 200 crystals to unlock new magical lands
– Over 35 achievements to master
– Discover and complete over 20 trips
– Fly seamlessly through 6 imaginative lands

Glyder ia a beautiful adventurous game which will captivate you with its stylish gameplay and freedom to fly over magical lands.

The objective of this game is to guide Eryn through dimensional rifts and collecting crystals to open the portal home.

The game begins with you choosing your first destination and then you enter a magical land. Tap the screen to start your flight and tilt your iPhone/iPod touch left or right to turn. Glu has has paid close attention to key elements of a flight which are speed and altitude. While you are flying you need to maintain your speed by diving and rising again. In order to soar higher you need to flap your wings by titling your device forward and backward or use the thermal vents.

As you fly though the dimensional rifts you need to collect crystals, these can be collected by flying over them at a low altitude. During your journey you can also choose to complete Trips (get from one place to another in the shortest time) and gain Achievements (Follow the ledge, Blind Diving, Crazy Fast etc.)

Glyder also offers complete freedom to fly to any destination within the game which is absolutely amazing. The replay value for this game is very high as you try to unlock all achievements and improve your statistics.

An Inca themed Sokoban game with 3D-esk graphics

Exercise Your Brain with the #1 Sokoban Style game!

Keep your mind agile, while having fun solving the 40 puzzles of Ankagua.
Help our friend to escape from the lost ruins, putting the green stone blocks over the marked positions, but be careful, because one false move can be fatal, and leave him trapped forever!

This is one pretty slick game with good graphics, which could be argued as more isometric than 3D. Gameplay generally is pretty solid and challenging however some of the later levels tend to pitter out into “move the blocks into something accessible then put them in the Goal” making the level one third challenge, 2 thirds chore but before you get to that stage you’ve gone through a lot of fun levels. While on the subject of gameplay this game does have a habit of being unstable, crashing, occasionally jerky framerate and for some reason you can walk through the moveable pieces after you stop pushing them around, while not sure if it’s a bug but it’s pretty handy sometimes. All that aside this is a challenging and fun puzzle game for you Vulcans logical people but could do with some tweaking, for example when the blocks are in place why not have the game character walk out the door as opposed to just raising his arms and letting out a cheer, he is after all trying to escape from an Inca ruin. Levels could always be made more interesting with things like falling floor blocks, cave in and other traps because all ruins have security devices to them

Moving on to controls, here you have two options, swipe and a slightly rotated D pad (to suit the isometric perspective). Now the problem with the D pad option is that it releases the character from moving in straight lines which doesn’t really suit the nature of this interface. It would be better locking the character to straight lines ala traditional Sokoban and having a third option with a virtual analogue stick in the form of two circles, as for swipe I find it too slow for my liking but again that’s in it’s nature as an interface.

BeastFace Photo MashUp is a photo editor for fun which can transform your friends into great looking beasts!

BeastFace MashUp is the most hilarious way to MashUp your iPhone’s photo roll or camera images with beasty lookin’ creatures! This very realistic MashUp tool makes amazing creations.

This is one simple and fun photo manipulator, essentially you choose your picture, either from your library or take one straight from your iPhone’s camera (sorry Touch owners, this app is limited for you) choose a face from an extensive list of mammals, fish and reptiles (59 faces in total). Using familiar gestures you then manipulate the animal layer over the face of your victim subject, more advanced controls are available including brightness, contrast, hue, saturation and sharpness however they are only applied to the animal layer, making this app somewhat clever but rather self limiting as you can’t even rotate or zoom in on a large background to make the layers fit better.

With your manipulation masterpiece complete you now have option of either saving it back to the photoroll or emailing it directly to who you want.

This application is very effective and fun, making monkeys (as well as birds, lizards) out of your mates, I would also like to see the scope for this application expanded into things like editable labels banners and borders maybe, the sky really is the limit.

Adrenaline: Treble Booster for that extra shot

* Hot Fuzz: Get buzzed with an electrifying distortion
* Kömpressör: Power chords just beg for it
* Q-36 Space Modulator: Multi-pattern modulation
* Sybil: Dual chorus pedal to hear your evil twin
* Trembler: Get a healthy dose of Tremolo
* Wahsabi: Tilt your iPhone to control this wah pedal!

From the moment you click on the iShred logo and the guitar spins smoothly into place you know that this app has been built with care and attention and right away you can start strumming the strings to create what has to be the most accurate guitar sound the iPhone has heard.

After you’ve rocked out for a few minutes though you’ll want to move on to something a little more serious and that’s where the pre-loaded song sets come in. Now if you after a Guitar Hero style painting by numbers game you are going to be disappointed as rather than letting you pretend to be Joe Perry or Jimi Hendrix, iShred teaches you to become your own legend.

Each song set provides you with just the right chords to create your own version of a guitar classic inc. Wild Thing, Highway to Hell, Godzilla and more but not only that, when your done with creating your own instant classic you can tweak you guitar to really make the song your own.

This is where the $4.99 becomes great value for money as you can chose from a multitude of premier effects and take your guitar shredding to the next level. There are 8 effects to choose from each with multiple settings allowing you to create your definitive sound, my favorite, the Wahsabi even allows you to shake the iPhone to add your wah wah effect.

Each string can be adjusted, refined and perfected in your hunt for the perfect sound and once you’ve mastered, or in my case annihilated, your favorite tunes you can not only record your masterpiece but share it with fellow iShreeders around the world with the AirPlay. Not only that, but you can also listen to other songs that have been uploaded and rate them.

iShred has been created by a team that clearly knows and loves the guitar, its sound and the raw emotion that strumming those 6 strings can bring, in my opinion installing the iShred application onto your iPhone is 2nd only to hanging the real thing around your neck.

An addictive slot machine simulator

Description

Temple of Gold is a Las Vegas style slot machine for the Apple iPhone and iTouch platform.

If you have ever visited Las Vegas or stepped foot inside a casino, then you already know how fun these machines are play.

Start your game with $1,000. Play up to 20 lines and bet up to $20 per line.I have worked hard to find the right sounds and graphics, so I hope you enjoy playing it.

While this game is a pretty accurate and good looking simulation of a slot machine it does feel very limited. You choose your lines, place your monetary bet on those lines and press spin and you keep doing that until you either run out of money or win so much money it would take forever to spend. There lies the rub when you run out of money you have to quit to the springboard and enter the application to play again, the flip side isn't too good either as when you win a ridiculous amount of money ($438364.00 is my current best) all you can do is keep playing the same game.

What I would have liked to have seen here at the very least, is an option to submit your winnings to a high score board, cashing out so to say. I would also like to see different machines you can progress onto when you have enough money to unlock them. Of course this doesn’t stop the game being somewhat fun, the how high can I go factor is here in abundance however there are a few bugs.

I found the application crashed frequently on initial installation which was only cured after turning the device off completely and on again, unusual for a simple application. The other problem I found was with the resume function, if you went into the application but quit to the springboard without resuming your last game (or received a phonecall at that moment) it would be lost, an annoying bug to say the least but one that you should rarely encounter.

Build-a-lot is an exceptionally well built game for all who love real estate development simulation games!

Enjoy all the features and functionality for this immensely popular computer game including:

-Two Modes of Play – career and casual
-35 levels in 8 unique neighborhoods
-Construct, buy, sell and upgrade 8 types of buildings and 6 types of homes
-Purchase blueprints and unlock the CostMart
-Enhanced graphics augment the beautifully rendered animated backgrounds and sleek user interface

Build-a-lot is a very addictive strategy game with an objective to earn money by constructing, buying, renting, repairing, selling houses and hiring work force

In the beginning you are alloted some lots and you begin by buying blueprints for buildings or houses, construct them to collect rent and earn money. Houses you build can be upgraded up-to three times which sometimes require more work force than you actually have. Constructing and upgrading houses requires to maintain stock of materials you have. So as you earn more money you can hire more work force to enable constructing and upgrading your houses faster and also purchase additional material. Over a period of time as your houses get older you might have to repair them to continue collecting rent. Upgrading buildings also increases their value and rent. In the end the total rent collected and value of all buildings is added to your score.

The current version of this game offers two modes: Career Mode and Casual Mode

In Career Mode your objective is to earn money as per the goal allotted by the Mayor of the city by building specific buildings and accomplish the given task in limited time.

In Casual Mode your objective to earn specific amount of money with no time limit.

Build-a-lot compels you to strategize your next move. Your objective is to maximize money therefore you have to make careful choices over your next blue print, construction, work force, and upgrade keeping cost, material, time and work force required to build in mind.

The game also features a detailed tutorial so it won’t take much time to get familiar with the gameplay and in no time you will get engaged in generating money! The graphics, animation and sound effects are also very well done.

Build-a-lot is a highly impressive strategy game which has amazing replay value.

Don’t fight your drunk dialing habit, embrace it!

Unlike other mobile phone apps that work to prevent drunk dialing, Ringr Roulette actually encourages it. Let Rignr Roulette take the guesswork out of who to call. With a simple shake of your iPhone, Ringr Roulette will go through your contacts and choose someone for you to babble to late at night or early in the morning. Ringr Roulette also allows you to create an “excluded” list while you are clear-headed. This helps avoid those hard to explain calls to your mom or your boss at 2 in the morning. Ringr Roulette also has easy to understand sound effects in case you aren’t seeing your screen too clearly.

Rignr Roulette is simple to use:

1. Get really crazy
2. Shake your iPhone
3. Wait for the “chicken out” timer (user settable in case you NEVER want to chicken out)
4. Wait for phone to ring
5. Babble incoherently about how much you hate and/or love the person you are talking to.

Never drunk dial without Ringr Roulette again.
