Rock Climer Rating:
I admit I was not very excited at first to review this new game. After falling flat on my back approximately 10 times I finally got the hang of it! Rock Climber is a newly released game for those who want to enjoy the vertical world of accelerometer-controlled rock climbing.
The objective is to climb the mountains of Montana by tilting your device to aim at the next nearest hook. The game does require a lot of practice and as you continue trying to climb higher, your climbing skills will improve. You can also collect bonus equipment like rope and boots which will help you in completing the levels.
Although the game does allow you to submit and compare your scores online with Facebook and Twitter friends, it would be nice if one could play against friends and/or online people “live”. The graphics, although decent, could be improved with realistic textures and shadows for the mountain. We would also like to see some customization options for the climbers clothes and also to be able to choose the gender.
Rock Climber will have you addicted but for how long, is the question. Personally I found it amusing but repetitive. I look forward to reading the comments. If stimulating accelerometer- controlled games is up your alley this is definitely a game for you.
The Good
- Casual game for quick play
- Accelerometer-controlled
- Open fient enabled
The Not So Good
- Lacks luster, graphics could be improved
- Repetitive
- No live game play

Although the graphics of this game are a bit better, i like the gameplay of the “Kilimanjaro” game more (simular game), it asks more action from the gameplayer in my opinion.
