If you are a Verizon Wireless customer then you will be able to order the highly anticipated iPhone 4 on 3rd February at 3 AM ET. Verizon recently updated its iPhone information page which shows the time remaining until the exclusive opportunity for existing customers to pre-order iPhone 4.
Verizon is certainly expecting huge demand for Apple’s smartphone as it informed it’s customers via email that they will be able to order the phone from their “reserved quantity on a first-come, first-served basis”.
Apple has been rumored to be in talks with CDMA network providers in other countries who are willing to offer iPhone 4 on their network and we could expect more announcements regarding its availability soon.
Verizon certainly offers better coverage when compared with AT&T, but one major drawback with CDMA technology is that it does not support data and voice connections simultaneously. However, this may change in future when LTE-based iPhone is launched which would obviously require hardware upgrade.

Does anyone know if you will be able to pre-order a retail price iphone if you are a current verizon customer?
Here’s what Verizon says at their FAQ site.
Can I upgrade to an iPhone 4 even though I am not eligible to upgrade?
If you are not eligible to upgrade, you cannot upgrade at promotional pricing today, but you can pay full retail price and upgrade your phone if you would like to.
Yes you will
I’ll be awake at 3 a.m. to place two pre-orders. And I really don’t care about simultaneous phone calls and the Internet. What I care about is coverage and reliability.
I have waited 4 years for this I am pumped!
I’ll be up at 3am Thursday. Been waiting years for this day to come. Now all I have to do is hope I don’t die in some freak accident before I get my iPhone.
hahaha, thats funny..
the reason i am happy for a Verizon iPhone is becuase now sprint will be getting it soon, go sprint
I am getting the iPhone on Verizon. The best of the best. It just makes sense. Don’t need the super-duper specs on a phone THAT bad. Apple will only get better or add something unique—and they all will copy.
I will be getting a Verizon iPhone! Not interested in the imitators… I only considered getting a Droid because iPhone was only on AT&T. My contract just ended; right on time! Hello iPhone!
