TouchSort: Simple and Fun Looking game!

TouchSort Rating: ★★★☆☆

Simple and Fun looking game!

TouchSort is a hectic, arcade-style action game in which you toss colored balls from the center of the screen to their matching side goal. It’s never that simple, though. To tense things up, there is a timer! You only get 3 seconds to make a shot, with more points being awarded if you have more time left. If the timer runs out or you match up the wrong colors, you lose a life. You start the game with 3 lives, and they never recover. To mix things up a bit, the side goals also rotate every two seconds. Good luck!

To look at or even read about this game sounds great, it has good cartoony graphics and as a whole feels solid and responsive to play. The main objective of the game is simple, you are presented with a large mass of coloured circles and goals for you to drag them into, using as many fingers you can muster so team play is crucial here. The goal colour rotates every 2 seconds just to keep you on your toes. Game balancing appears to have gone out the window with the game dropping you at the deep end with a fast pace of goal rotation, quite faster than I would have liked to start a game.

This leaves your match short and frustrating when coupled with over sized game elements and random circles that drift away making it ever harder to play and not really suitable for the screen size presently available.

While it does feature a highscore board it doesn’t work very well, after typing in your name the touch area around the submit button is particularly hard to trigger without hitting the facebook connect button. The game will also crash if you try to look at it via the main menu without having a score already submitted.

TouchSort is a great way to kill time when you just need some quick entertainment.
