On Sunday, Apple aired a new iPhone 4S TV ad, dubbed Santa. The ad aired on nation wide television networks, only a week away from Christmas. The ad shows Santa Claus, delivering presents to children, with the assistance of Siri on iPhone 4S. Santa asks Siri for directions to different houses and searches for weather in cities around the world. The ad even highlights messages when Ms. Claus sends Santa a message.
Apple’s Santa ad will help bring in sales for the Christmas season, which is a time when retail stores experience the heaviest sales, from those buying gifts for their friends and families. Apple, over the last week, has also been posting iPod touch banner ads across popular web sites such as NYTimes, in order to increase iPod sales this holiday season and advertise its list of popular iOS devices.
