[Update] Version 2.0 now contains a big new GPS based feature called “Outta Here!”. Based on where you are and where you want to be, it uses the Google Maps API to get travelling directions, find a taxi in your immediate vicinity, or email a friend with your current location for a pickup. It also allows phone or SMS contact via your Contacts list from within the app.
The multi-user upgrade is now fully under way and will be the v2.1 update in a few weeks time.

Track that drinking session with DrinkTracker Breathalyzer
Use your iPhone or iPod Touch to keep track of your BAC (Blood Alcohol Content) while you’re drinking with the DrinkTracker personal breathalyser calculator app.
Quickly and easily keep a record of what you’ve been drinking with the fully editable one-tap drinks list. Even add your own favorite drinks to the drinks list and sort it into any order you want.
Drink Tracker for iPhone/iPod touch is pretty close to feature complete as one could imagine. Rather than being just a personal application good for only one user, you can set up different profiles for others too, letting you enter gender, age, height, weight and target Blood Alcohol Content, basically everything the app needs to estimate how quickly your body deals with alcohol, however you can only track one profile per session. You can enter or customize your frequently drunk tipples with their alcohol content and serving size along with it’s name allowing quick entry during a session.
Once you have filled in your information and you’ve started drinking you use the start session on the home tab which then changes to give you an option of which profile to use then lets you start the session, on this screen you have a read out of your estimated Blood Alcohol Content along with info such as number of drinks consumed, time elapsed, BAC content and time to target, even further information is available by tapping the session info button which tells you how much alcohol you’ve ingested, and have left to ingest. The next all important button here is add drink which when pressed changes the screen to show a list of drinks that have been entered into the app already, if you just happen to be trying something completely new you can quickly add a drink through this screen as well. After choosing your drink the screen changes again letting you choose to drink it now or enter the time and date you drank it although not sure why you can go into the future with it.
My issues with this application other than single profile tracking, is that if you’ve set up a BAC Target and you go to take a drink that takes you over that limit, you don’t get a warning. The UI uses the same static image and some poor button placement which makes using the interactive elements difficult as they could have been made larger. While on the subject of interface, the odd choice to not follow Apple guidelines in regards to removing items could lead to frustration. Presently there is a white x surrounded in red present at all times, when pressed brings up a further question to make sure you want to delete this. Seeing as this app could be used in a room with a fair amount of activity and intoxicated people, one wrongly timed fumble could wipe out something important and render the app useless until you’ve had chance to sit down and set it up again.
DrinkTracker is a powerful app which could definitely save you from embarrassing situations!
