Glad you're enjoying the levels. They definitely repeat their patterns. I got into a war with Chris Ulm here at Appy over the top spot for The Vapors “Turning Japanese” (don't ask), and got to know that level in my sleep. We'll probably wipe the test scores from the server so my hard-earned 75,3337 points in that song will be lost to oblivion. Such is the life of a game developer.

Hi Paul. Thanks for your feedback on the review and the clarification on level generation. The game seemed to be generating a different level each time I played the same song but I guess that was just my impression. I think that just speaks to the quality of game play and how good of a job you and your team did on your level generation that I didn't notice the similarities.

Thanks for the preview, Erin. Glad you're excited about the game — we are too, but we're biased.
I did want to point out that the levels created by a song are the same for every user (you wrote that “Even two plays on the same song are different.”) If you play, “Paint It Black” by the Rolling Stones, you'll get the same level every time. If your friend plays “Paint It Black,” they'll get the same level that you did. This lets you improve performance in any given level, and also creates an even playing field for competing with other players worldwide.
We submitted the game to Apple on Saturday, and we are in review right now, so if we're lucky the game will be out soon (and it will be a free download). We're doing the final touches on our promo video right now and that should be out Monday or Tuesday, and we hope it will provide a good snapshot of the tone and spirit of the game.
