The special iPad™ version of the successful racing game Rally Master Pro™ is expected to be available on the App Store end of September.

Hamburg, Germany, 06 August 2010 – Rally Master Pro™ already made players sweat on the iPhone. Thanks to impressive graphics, dynamic lighting, and realistic 4 point driving physics, even the Java version of the game, and later the iPhone™ version, encouraged players to hurl their rally racers to better and better times across the steppe, gravel, or ice. Now the award-winning racing game has been revised for the iPad™ and the Beta version will be introduced by the developer FISHLABS at the gamescom in the Business Centre Hall 4.2, Booth M034.

In keeping with the high resolution of the Apple computer, the Rally Master Pro™ graphics have been elevated to the iPad™ level and offer unparalleled racing pleasure. The sophisticated driving physics, which individually calculates each wheel according to the weather and the corresponding driving characteristics, along with the customisable controls, creates the perfect illusion of a real hard-core rally. Each of the 27 courses in the game has its own personality: tight curves, wet asphalt, and icy turns challenge players’ driving skills. Help is provided by the co-pilot, who gives instructions to avoid totalling the racer. With the unique, interactive replay, the last stage can be studied with numerous vehicle and TV cameras and individual sequences can be fast forwarded and rewound. The 3D damage model provides information about the condition of the car at any time – the vehicle can be repaired for the next test between stages in a variety of mini-games. Course best times and rally records can also be uploaded on-line to compare with friends and players from around the world.

In addition to these features, the iPad™ version now also offers an Arcade mode, which players can activate for every course. In this mode, the vehicle does not take damage, and even less ambitious players can beat the tough time limits. Thanks to the new ghost function in the Time Trial mode, drivers can also train even more intensely and gradually approach their best time before later immortalising their best times on-line in the Simulation mode.

Last year, FISHLABS received nothing but top marks for their mobile game Rally Master Pro™. Starting in mid October, every iPhone and iPod touch owner will be able to put the pedal to the metal and test their rally skills in sun, rain, and snow on 27 varied and detailed extreme courses. FISHLABS has elaborately revised the graphics, including vertex colouring and dynamic lighting (OpenGL ES 1.1) and once again improved the weather simulation for the iPhone and its enormous computing power. In Rally Master Pro™, three classes tear across courses of asphalt, gravel, sand, or snow. The direction of the course is announced optically and acoustically by the co-pilot, so that players can ease off of the gas at the right moment to drift cleanly through the curves and hit the tough time targets without totalling their vehicles. The weather, course, and damage-dependent driving physics provide an individual and realistic driving feel and supply players with increasing challenges, especially on uneven track surfaces. With the unique, interactive replay, the last stage can be studied with numerous vehicle and TV cameras and individual sequences can be fast forwarded and rewound. That way, drivers can memorise every curve and perfect their driving style. The 3D damage model always allows an overview of the condition of the car – the repair options can be used as a mini-game between the stages to get the car fit again for the next test.
