Flash is yet another one of those things that allows computers or mobile devices to eat up power. When was the last time you visited a flash website and had a good time with it. Something was out of place, something did not work, you had to upgrade to see it properly, etc. What a pain in the backside. If MacroMedia was still on its own, then things might have evolved to a point where they were useful and more streamlined. However with Adobe and inhaling the competition out of fear and not wanting to develop their own stream of better products, they swallowed up the product, thought they could develop for it, and got rid of the core team elements.
Flash SUCKS. Steve's right and HTML5 will be a better way to go. Less browser overhead, less memory sucking, less battery consumption and fewer ways to stick in renegade code to mess up your computer system.
Can't wait for it. Glad they're not supporting flash on the iPad. Was actually funny to see the blank plugin spots in the demo and I knew right away why they were there. Everyone else was in a panic, but those of us that are really and truly tired of flash were jumping for joy!

When Steve talks I listen. I must do some research on HTML5 now.
