As I looked at Apple's media event last week I was not impressed because I didn't not see anything that an end user can't already do with android 2.0 or 2.1. While adding a front facing camera with video conferencing would be a nice addition to keep the iPhone ahead of the game for the time being. I believe open development is going to cause history to repeat itself on the mobile front, especially with more manufacturers constantly producing new and better android handsets, and new iPhones only being released every couple of years or so.
