The environment that you have control over are the walls that have gaps in them that the meteoroid can pass through. The meteoroid will travel along a marked path from the left to the right and the environment that you have control over is in the form of two color coded walls that you can move up and down by sliding your thumb or finger up and down the left and right hand side of the screen.
The right side moves the blue walls while the left side moves the red, all very easy it would seem but when you are trying to do it at speed it begins to become more of a challenge.
The graphics are nothing to write home about, a simple space theme and the accompanying music are certainly appropriate to the games style but they aren’t going to blow you away. That being said it doesn’t detract from the enjoyment of the game.
There are 81 levels in total split into 4 groups of 20, (and one of 21!), with each group having a difficulty level of either Easy, Medium or Hard. It’s nice that all four groups are available to play from the start although only the first levels of each group. The rest of the levels must be unlocked by completing the previous levels with either a certain number of medals or gems that are collected while playing the levels.
The game play is set just right with it teetering between frustration and the ‘just one more go’ effect and for the most part it errs on the latter which is most definitely a good thing.
There are a bunch of stats available for each level and if you are on Facebook and fancy sharing your Zlider details on there you can compare your scores with your Facebook friends that have also played the game.
The 99 cents that Zlider will set you back could be the best dollar you’ve spent in the App Store in a long time.
