Verizon iPhone 4 to start selling in January?

A few days before WWDC 2010 Verizon spokesman killed all hopes of a possible announcement which could end the AT&T exclusivity deal. Now we are hearing about fresh reports which suggest that we could see the CDMA version of iPhone 4 as early as January.

According to a report by published by Bloomberg Verizon Wireless could announce the availability of new iPhone 4 on its network in January during CES 2011.

The device will be available to customers in January, according to the people, who declined to be named because the information isn’t public.

Earlier this month we published DigiTimes report which suggested that Taiwanese manufacturer Pegatron could be manufacturing the  CDMA version of iPhone:

Pegatron will also start shipping a CDMA version of the iPhone 4 to Apple in the fourth quarter and is currently using its plants in Shanghai, China to produce the products,

Verizon iPhone news stories are again picking up momentum which only suggests that Apple could be considering new networks as that would drive the sales statistics by a large number and could push RIM to the second spot.
