Train Conductor 2: USA Rating:
Say goodbye to your friends and family as you lose yourself in this addictive game!
For those of you that haven’t played the original conductor game the premise is pretty simple. You are the train conductor and your task is to direct the trains to their respective destinations without letting crash into each other.
While the premise is simple the the task is not as the trains start coming thick and fast and you’ll find yourself juggling multiple trains across multiple tracks to prevent a fatal collision.
There are five US based locations each with it’s own unique set of challenges and each one becomes available as you successfully deliver the appropriate amount of trains. After a brief tutorial you’ll start conducting on the monorails of Miami.
Four numbered tracks are located horizontally across the screen and the trains start appearing from both sides of the screen. You are alerted to their impending arrival with a flashing light and as they travel along the track you can drag them from one track to another.
After successfully delivering trains in Miami you’ll move onto Nashville where ghost trains are on the menu and there is a small surprise in store which I won’t give away here.
New York, the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas are the other cities that you’ll get to visit each with their unique style and challenges that will keep you coming back for more to see if you can beat your previous scores.
One thing that has disappeared from the original is the integration with the Plus+ social gaming network, but in its place Facebook integration has been added so that you can compare your scores with your Facebook friends.
The game is also a universal app meaning that for a single purchase the game will work both on the iPad and iPhone/iPod touch. While there are no additional features in the iPad version the games looks even better and plays extremely well with the larger playing area.
Train Conductor 2:USA is a beautiful, fun, addictive game that will keep you coming back for more and may even make you go and play the original if you haven’t played that before either!
