Reports of an iPhone 5 making an appearance on T-Mobile USA’s and any possibility associated with it were crushed today. A report from TmoNews revealed an internal image from T-Mobile USA, with words directly from Chief Marketing Officer Cole Brodman that this new rumor is in fact, true.

iPhone 5 release date is widely expected to be around 15th October. Brodman has been reported to have said these words during a company town hall meeting on September 15th, where he out rightly confirmed to employees that the iPhone 5 is going to be a no show.

Our business is working very hard to improve performance over the last couple of years and we’ve had some great success,” said Brodman. New products and value plans are fueling customer response, he added, and Brodman expects the excitement to continue into the holiday season as T-Mobile introduces two new smartphones. Note: “We are not going to get the iPhone 5 this year,” Brodman said.

This new report does not extinguish all possibility of the iPhone 5 appearing on T-Mobile’s network. However, T-Mobile iPhone 5 prototypes have been spotted in the wild, further suggesting that the fifth gen iPhone may make an appearance at a later time. Sprint has also been rumored to receive the iPhone 5, and has not faced any doubt as to why it wouldn’t.

T-Mobile’s company future remains uncertain, with a possibility of an AT&T acquisition. It’s possible that iPhone 5 may be available with T-Mobile on a larger, more stable combination of AT&T and T-Mobile networks. Apple is expected to release the iPhone 5 during the week of October 10th but has not planned any events in accordance with such a plan.
