Target to begin selling Apple iPad on October 3

We recently reported that Apple has begun expanding iPad distribution to resellers across the U.S and now Target has also announced that they will start selling Apple’s iPad on October 3.

Target will sell Apple’s tablet at the same price starting at $499 for 16 GB Wi-Fi only model and will carry all six versions of the tablet.

In an interview with CNET, Target spokeswoman said:

the iPad will be included in a special store promotion beginning October 17 that gives customers a 5 percent discount if they use their Target credit card for purchases.

The availability of iPad across different stores will only boost sales for Apple and make it easy for users to purchase and pick up the device from the nearest store.
