As was pointed out in an earlier article, reports from iPhone 4 users are coming in with complaints of discoloration in the bottom corners of the screen. The effected iPhone screen’s corners are reported to have a warm yellowish tint.

Someone claiming to know why users are finding issues with the iPhones Retina Display posted the following on the AppleInsider forum:

Apple is using a bonding agent called Organofunctional Silane Z-6011 to bond the layers of glass. Apparently, Apple (or more likely Foxconn) is shipping these products so quickly that the evaporation process is not complete. However, after one or two days of use, especially with the screen on, will complete the evaporation process and the yellow “blotches” will disappear. How do I know? I was involved in pitching Z-6011 to Apple.

If this user is right, those affected by this issue should see improvement within a day or two of use.
