Sprint’s CFO, Joe Euteneuer earlier this month suggested that Sprint could offer 4G LTE iPhone 5 on its network if Apple was to release one down the line. At that moment, questions as to whether Sprint would still offer unlimited data plans arose and many wondered if Sprint would switch to a tiered data plan. On Wednesday, in a report from CNET, Sprint confirmed that they will continue to offer unlimited data plan, even after they set up and release the 4G LTE network.

“If the next iteration of the iPhone arrives with LTE, Sprint will continue to offer a no-strings unlimited plan, CEO Dan Hesse told CNET. The company is already sticking with unlimited for its first batch of LTE phones, but it was unclear whether the offer would apply to next iPhone.

“I’m not anticipating the unlimited plan would change by that point,” he said. “That’s our distinctive differentiator.”

Sprint’s Unlimited Data has been the focal point of its advertising and its strategy in drawing in potential new customers. Even Dan Hesse, CEO of Sprint mentioned that the offering of unlimited data plans has brought over customers from other carriers to Sprint. On a similar note, during Sprint’s earnings call earlier Wednesday, it was reported that 44% of all iPhone sales on Sprint were sold to customers new to the carrier.

During the release of the iPhone 4 and 4S on Sprint, a number of users complained that the data speeds were relatively slow, however, LTE would give a major boost to the slower network speeds, allowing users to download and upload data much faster.
