We’ve had pictures, we’ve had video, and now we’ve got specifications for the still unannounced Sony PlayStation (PSP) Phone. This latest leak comes via Japanese website IT168, and here’s what they’re telling us:
+ An impressive battery weighing in at 1,5000mAh.
+ Powered by a Qualcomm Adreno 205 GPU.
+ A 4inch display sporting a resolution of 854×480.
+ A 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash.
+ 512MB of RAM and ROM.
+ The usual slots including SIM, micro USB and microSD.
Software-wise it’s pretty much what we’d already seen, though now the PlayStation app is labeled ‘PlayStation Pocket’. As Engadget also points out we still don’t know just what kind of games this thing will be running. Will the existing PSP catalogue be compatible or are we looking at a more phone-like library?
One thing’s for sure, it’s got the hardware to make an interesting debut for the PlayStation brand when it comes to the world of mobile phones.
Now we just need Sony to admit this thing exists!
