Game play is simple: Make every Ninja mimic the Lead Ninja, who is either running, creeping, or defending. But watch out: These teens have a mind of their own and will randomly start running, creeping, or defending of their own volition.
* Single player combat with 3 modes of challenge: Easy, Normal, Insane
* Multi-player combat
* Multiple endings in story mode
* High scores
* High quality visuals
* Exciting music and sound effects
Ninja Rally is a very well presented game which reminds us of follow the leader with near perfect Japanese graphics, the premise is simple, you have 5 bars each with a ninja, one of these bars will be red to show the current leader and you have to tap the other bars to make them match the leader’s movement of either run, defend or sneak. Once you achieve this your ninja’s rallied count goes up letting you launch an attack seen above the ninja bars in the form of a throwing star (whose size reflects on the number of ninjas in the attack) being thrown from one Japanese house on the left to your enemy’s on the right, on this part of the screen you also see incoming attacks from your enemy and should you have a large enough strike stored up you can destroy their attack and strike at their house too. Gameplay is generally good until you get onto the harder difficulties which I personally found quite hard and can only recommend an option to be added for changing your ninja stances as presently having to tap each bar to cycle through the stances can get very frustrating when things get heated. I would like to see an option to select the stance by tapping in various parts of each ninja bar to make things a little easier if your struggling as I’m actually stuck on what I hope is the last level.
This game has 3 modes, quick play which gets you straight into a fight, story which you play through a decent but short plot which links fights together and multiplayer letting you play against your friends as long as you are on the same Wi-Fi network.
As a whole this is a very slick and well presented game that is a lot of fun if you can keep the pace while doing tricky things.
- Challenging and fun
- Great graphics
The Not so Good
- Could do with additional control methods and levels
