Push South Africa for iPhone. World Cup Notifications for free (Review)

Push South Africa

Push South Africa [rating: 3.5/5]

As one would expect there are a plethora of apps being released in time for for the start of the World Cup in just a few days time and while some of the world cup apps are paid this application is free!

Push South AfricaAs the title would suggest the focus of Push South Africa is to push match updates via to your iPhone, iPod touch and they claim that these updates will arrive as soon as 3 seconds after the incident has happened on the pitch, pretty impressive stuff, although it remains to be seen how accurate that is.

You can control precisely which notifications are pushed to you based on specific teams and by incident. From goals to kick off’s, half time updates, full time, extra time and penalties you can enable all or just a few of the depending on how often you to receive updates.

In addition to the push notifications you can also view all the matches through the group and knockout stages as well as the current standings. You can’t drill through to team and player details or watch match highlights or commentary but then what do you expect for the competitive price of zero dollars!

Push South Africa may not have all the bells and whistles of some other World Cup apps but if you are looking to keep up to date in near real time without the need of refreshing a web browser then this could be just the app for you.
