Novato, California – 7twenty7 LLC today is pleased to announce the release of PrankBooth 1.0, a first-of-its-kind app for iPhone 4 and 4th-generation iPod touch devices with front-facing cameras. PrankBooth presents users with fake apps to show their friends, but while the victim is engaged with the app, a surprise pops in, and their reaction is recorded and photographed.
PrankBooth records 10 seconds of video and snaps 3 separate photos of before, during, and after the prank. Once the prank ends, the video and photos are able to be viewed, saved, and emailed from with the app.
PrankBooth allows users to choose from two separate fake app types and two different pranks. Users can select either a fake PhotoBoothHD app or a fake Optical Illusion app. They then choose if they want the prank to be scary or funny. Once they start the prank, they hand their device to an unsuspecting victim. A short time later, either a scary zombie or a hilarious monkey will jump into the screen, complete with sound effects.
The high-quality fake apps in PrankBooth are sure to convince anyone to stare into the screen while gazing at an optical illusion or to sit still while their face is scanned. Both of these fake app types were carefully chosen to ensure that the prank victim stares directly into the screen when the surprise appears.
