Kindle iOS App Gets an Update, Now Features Page Numbers

Amazon’s iOS Kindle app finally has parity with the Kindle hardware after its recent update, thanks to the new addition of real page numbers as reported by MacStories.

Up until now a rather confusing indexing system has been used to show where a reader is in a book, but now the familiar page numbers should help those of us who come from a life with the good old paper variety.

Updated to version 2.6, the new Kindle app also has support for Google and Wikipedia lookup as well as a reading progress indicator for both iPad and iOS. A new reading percentage is also available but only on the iPhone.

If you don’t already have the Kindle app installed (and why wouldn’t you!?) be sure to head on over and get it.

The Kindle app is free and is a universal app.
