    OS 3.0 was awesome but us iPhone 2G users missed out on a lot of features that could easily have been implemented, I guess that's the way Apple is forcing us to upgrade.

    The os 3.0 was a big update. I really like it.

    I had no problems downloading and installing the update =D

    Also did a restore from 3.0gm, downloaded the ipsw and hit shift restore, two errors of activation server is unavailable.

    Disconnected from internet, restore went fine, reconnected to internet reconnected iPhone, activated no problems, just resyncing everything now

    I had the GM release installed but decided to a fresh Restore. This is where I hit problems. Would not allow me to Restore the Iphone at all. Downloaded the 3.0 ipsw file and tried for a SHIFT + Restore but this failed as well. Ended up having to uninstall Itunes, reinstall and then Restore – download 3.0 from servers (Shift + Restore still wouldnt work) and install. Apart from that it seems fine! :) Just syncing now

    Its not free for us all : ( I have bought the previous two updates and still have to buy yet another. O well got to wait until I have some iTunes money first
