A new set of leaked images of iPhone 5 screen protectors hit the web earlier today. Ukwire.hk has published photos of Apple’s next gen iPhone screen protectors which shows an elongated home button rumored to make its way to the final design.

We’ve been highlighting reports of various third party case leaks which appear to be actually based on a common design document leaked a few weeks earlier. These reports have repeatedly suggested that the next generation iPhone will be slightly different than the fourth gen device.

Apple is expected to introduce a larger home button which could possibly even feature touch sensitive area for new gestures and features.

The screen protectors also appear to have a larger front which is in line with all the speculation regarding a 4 inch display for iPhone 5. Apple is super secretive about its design specifications that it generally does not reveal details to third party accessory manufacturers before launch. However, in the past we’ve seen these manufactures producing mockups and even announcing availability of cases for next gen device before the official launch.

iPhone 5 is expected to be unveiled at a media event expected to be scheduled during late September or early October time frame. The release date according to people close to the matter could be around mid October.

The fifth-gen iPhone is widely believed to include the dual-core A5 chip, higher RAM, 8 megapixel camera and a new hardware design.
