iPhone 5 Launch Confirmed by AT&T Vice President to Employees?

According to a new report published by BGR, Apple will launch iPhone 5 in early October. The publication cites their “high-level” sources and believes that AT&T Vice President has confirmed to employers that iPhone 5 (fifth gen) is expected to be available in October.

The VP reportedly told the company’s group managers to “Expect things to get really, really busy in the next 35-50 days, so prepare your teams accordingly.”

Recently various rumors have surfaced claiming iPhone launch in September. However, it’s possible that Apple holds an event to announce the next gen iPhone in the coming month and it could go on sale in October. Apple has not released any update about the rumored event as yet.

Jim Dalrymple of The Loop also quoted BGR’s story and seems to agree with the report concerning the launch of the next gen iPhone.

iPhone 5 is expected to feature a high resolution camera, dual-core A5 chip and have a radically thinner design. Are you excited about upgrading your iPhone? Do you have any specific features on your wish list? Let us know in the comments below.

Let’s hope Apple includes Near Field Communications in the package even if they do not enable it’s iOS 5 initial release…

October? Think again. Holiday season? Absolutely.
Apple doesn’t just willy-nilly announce “Hey, in a month from now, our phone will be available”.  They give BOTH consumers AND retailers a good 2-3 month warning, start looking at pre-sales around holiday season.
