Ummm I think its probably you who is not credible…how can you state with such confidence that it will “drop calls like the 3g and 3gs”? You haven't used the phone to know that – you assume. Also, I've never had a dropped call on my 3G – maybe its just the signal in your area. – Nothing has changed in the OS? What are you talking about – it has some of the most significant changes since the original iPhone. If you don't like Apple's products / are jealous / work for Google – then say so and stop posting stupid comments.

You are absolutely right. I am a victim of my age. CMOS has other meanings I tend to associate it with first. To me CCD and CMOS are synonymous. Rather like everyone seems to call vacuum cleaners, Hoovers, I have a bad habit of lumping them all under the general title of CCD. When they are actually slightly different implementations of the same technology. CMOS being more suited to low power implementations.
At the end of the day it should say CMOS in the article, but the rest of the info is correct nonetheless.

Nothing has changed in the OS? Where have you been? I'm going to buy it regardless of phone connection. I personally, have never had a dropped call in all my years with Cingular, AT&T, etc. The wi-fi connection was made by the way. It was just slow. The phone CAN make wi-fi connections, that connection just happened to be bogged down at the time, or whatever else may have caused it. Thank-you very much.

The comments about the backside illuminated sensor would have sounded much more credible if you were aware that they are CMOS, not CCD. As for the OS, nothing has changed. They installed iMovie app and called OS4. It still will drop calls like the 3g and 3gs models and as demonstrated at the big show even the ability to maintain a wi-fi connection is iffy at best. It does have a cool new slim appeal to it though and is guaranteed to set new sales records.
