The Verizon iPhone 4 has only been in stores for a matter of hours, but as NewsFactor reports, Apple has already released a software update. Released specifically for the Verizon CDMA hardware, iOS 4.2.6 is aimed at fixing a potential issue that could course Personal Hotspot usage to be reported incorrectly. As yet we have no reports as to whether the fix does indeed work, or not.
With Verizon breaking it’s own first day sakes records already it’s fairly obvious that any potential issues with the software could be embarrassing for all concerned, but Apple’s been quick out of the blocks with a fix. Presumably the same bug is, or at least was, present in the iOS 4.3 betas we’ve all been playing with for a few weeks!
Let’s hope it’s not too long now before iOS 4.3 unifies the OS.
