Last year we took a look at Dr. Nano – 3D Adventure in the Human Body and while it entertained for a while we weren’t overly impressed with it. Now there is a sequel in the form of Dr. Nano X: Incredible Voyage Inside The Body, so have things improved?
Certain things certainly have improved. There are definitely higher production values with improvements to both the back story and pre-game visuals. However once the game starts the game is still plagued with the same issues as the original Dr. Nano game, in fact it’s as if the developers are trying to put so much in to the game that while a lot of it is OK none of it is great.
The game sees you taking the role of the shrunken down to size Dr Nano as you travel through various parts of the human body to clear it up from infections, infestations and other nasties. Two thumb-sticks control your movement, aim and direction while the edition of virtual A button allows you to jump around.
The addition of a multi-player mode over local wi-fi and Game Center integration does make this better value for money than the original and this is very much welcomed.
As I said before though while things have improved from the original Dr. Nano game but the gaming world has moved on a lot further, while Dr Nano X may keep some entertained for a while the lack lustre graphics and tricky control system will end up frustrating most.
