Doodle Fit Rating:
Doodle Fit brings a unique twist to tangram puzzles where your task is to fit a range of geometric shapes into a set space. With Doodle Fit the shapes in question are a range of Tetris inspired shapes and the space that you have to fit them in range from simple geometric shapes to more complex spaces in the form letters, buildings, vehicles and other objects.
The game is predominantly the same on both devices with the only noticeable difference being that on the iPad you can draw the pieces directly as well as using th drag and drop option that’s available on both devices.
There are four sets of levels to work through with each one becoming available after the completion of the prior one. In total there are over 100 levels to complete and with multiple possible solutions for each there is a lot of value here.
With each puzzle a range of shapes are provided that you must fit into the space provided. Things start off easy to get you started with minimal pieces and simple shapes to fit them into.
This doesn’t last long though and you’ll find yourself re-drawing and re-positioning to find the perfect fit. A hint option would have been nice to help passing some of the levels.
At present Doodle Fit has two themes to choose between in the form of a notebook and chalkboard design and I hope that more will be made available in a future update along with more levels.
There’s no multiplayer option but multiple players can play on a single device thanks to the use of multiple profiles.
As with most successful games Doodle Fit has both simplicity and addictiveness and if justice is to be served then Doodle Fit should join it’s name sake in Doodle Jump at the top of the charts.
