Apple recently announced that the new 21.5” iMac will be going on sale on November 30th. The 27” inch will be available later this year, in December, but will arrive by the end of the year as Apple promised during the introduction of the product. Apple introduced the newer, thinner iMac during the company’s October 23rd media event, where they also introduced the 4th generation iPad, and iPad mini.

The 21.5-inch iMac will be available through the Apple Online Store (www.apple.com), Apple’s retail stores and select Apple Authorized Resellers. The 27-inch iMac will be available for order through the Apple Online Store and will begin shipping in December.

Apple resellers and retailers were expected to be receiving shipments for the new iMac this Wednesday, which is now confirmed by Apple’s announcement of availability for Friday. Reports early last week suggested that the new iMac would likely be delayed until 2013 and would not arrive until at least the first month of the new year.

Apple will also likely experience supply constraints during the initial sales, as with many of its new products. By late December, however, the supply should catch up to demand for the product.
