Apple’s iTunes Turns 10

 In Apple

Prepare to feel old.¬†Apple’s jukebox and home of all things media reached its 10th birthday yesterday, just months after hitting version 10. I hope that was planned!

It was way back in 2001 that Apple unleashed iTunes at Macworld and it’s been growing ever since. Now the cornerstone of so many things coming out of Cupertino, iTunes powers Apple’s music and app stores while being the ‘home base’ that all the company’s mobile devices link to.

If we didn’t have iTunes what would our iPods, iPhones and iPads sync with? It’s certainly a vital piece of software for Apple’s current lines.

So happy birthday iTunes! Please don’t crash on me!
