In a few hours from now the new iPhone will be unveiled at Apple’s “Let’s talk iPhone” event which will finally put all rumors about the next-gen iPhone being called “iPhone 4S” or “iPhone 5” to rest. However, reports about the devices’ name, features and flash memory continue to flow.
Websites of authorized resellers like Radio Shack have already listed “iPhone 5” in their inventory database as the new device expected to be launched on Tuesday. However, it’s important to note that these resellers could probably be just following the same rumors and speculation that we are discovering and could just be placeholders.
The listing was discovered on Vodafone’s iPhone 4 bumper shop page. This could point to the evidence that fifth-gen iPhone has the same size and design as the fourth generation iPhone.
Just like the resellers it’s possible that the german carrier added the listing just as a placeholder. But, more and more evidences now point to the launch of “iPhone 4S” which is expected to look just like iPhone 4.
It is widely believed that the new iPhone will go on sale on October 14th however, the company could start taking pre-orders as early as October 7th.
It will be interesting to see if Apple introduces a higher capacity iPhone this year. Have you been waiting for a 64GB iPhone? Let us know in the comments below.
