Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) hugely successful iPad is on the wish list of millions of people all over the world, and just after the touch screen tablet became available at Target stores throughout the U.S., it also became available directly through Amazon.
Customers looking to get their hands on the iPad can now order the 32GB and 64GB Wi-Fi from Amazon.com. Both models are available for the same price you’ll pay directly through Apple: $599 for the 32GB, and $699 for the 64GB.
iPads purchased through Amazon are available without local tax for many customers, and those who have Amazon Prime are eligible for free shipping.
There’s no word at the moment when other models of the sought-after tablet will become available through the internet retailer, but I’m sure the choice will grow before the holiday season.
Amazon follows Best Buy and Target as suppliers of the iPad, and it’s expected the number of suppliers will continue to grow throughout the U.S. in the coming months, further increasing the availability of Apple’s tablet.
